Gathering so much information means keeping track of it. I need to keep track of many pdfs and the status I have assigned to it such as in progress, review, important, done. Devonthinkpro 2.7 allows for color labels to be assigned to folders, which makes it easy for me to see the progress of articles I am working on.
Under Preferences, General are the label settings. Dots (Mavericks) places small dots of colour on the right hand side of the folder title which I find hard to see, particularly when screen real-estate is an issue (i.e.: small laptop screen).
